Although the Tennessee Wine opinion was not released, the Supreme Court provided some clues on the destiny of the opinion.
The Chief Justice wrote the opinion in Knick v. Scott, why is that relevant to the liquor world? Since Knick has been disposed of, there is one opinion left from January oral arguments, yes Tennessee Wines. Alito has not written an opinion on a case from January oral argument and now is the laggard in writing the total number of Court opinions. Expect Tennessee Wine to be from him!
Here is my previous blog post on the Alito effect!
Who will write the opinion in the Tennessee Wine Case and how will it influence the outcome?
