Illinois Passes Cocktails-To-Go, the Sudden Success of a Great Grass Roots Movement
The Illinois legislature resoundingly passed cocktails-to-go last Saturday. The legislation’s passage represented a great victory for the struggling Illinois hospitality community. And on Tuesday Governor Pritzker said he will sign it when the clerk presents him the bill.
With any legislation passing, especially one […]
I am scheduled to be on Fox Good Day Chicago tomorrow discussing Cocktails-For-Hope with my teammate Julia Momose.
The Sixth Circuit denied to petition for an en banc rehearing in the Lebamoff v. Whitmer case. This case challenged Michigan’s wine shipping law which allowed in-state retailers to ship to Michigan customers but denied this same privilege to out-of-state customers.
Julia Momose, founder of Cocktails For Hope, will be on TV again discussing our movement to get cocktails-to-go for Illinois restaurants and bars.
Here is the upcoming schedule:
Tuesday, May 12- Julia Momose/Cocktails For Hope on WCIU The Jam’s Facebook Live at 11 am
Wednesday, May 13- Julia/Cocktails For Hope on Fox Good Day Chicago at 9:40 […]
I had a great interview with Kate Chappell from NBC News Chicago on Cocktails-For-Hope which should air at 5:00 pm tonight.

For the second time yesterday, Cocktails For Hope was on TV discussing our movement.
An amazing job by Julia Momose talking about our cause.
She provided a great explanation of our movement and why it is necessary to the survival of the hospitality industry, this is a must watch!
Also, we need your support, contact your […]
Cocktails for Hope is gaining momentum, we have been on radio, major newspapers, and now on TV. Our message is getting out there and it is time for Governor Pritzker to make a change to allow restaurants to survive.
We need everyone to get activated and behind us, this is a winning cause. And any winning […]
Lebamoff’s legal team filed a petition for en banc rehearing with the 6th Circuit today. Michigan prevailed at a three-judge panel on a lawsuit which challenged the constitutionality of their wine retailer shipping law, Michigan allows in-state retailers to ship to Michigan consumers but denies that privilege to out-of-state retailers.
The petition made an interesting point […]
I must admit it, I am having a great Saturday morning in lock down, mainly for two reasons.
For the first time, I contributed to Wine Spectator, which is the top publication on the wine industry in America. It is a great honor to be discussing the 6th Circuit’s decision on the Michigan wine shipping law. […]
